Governor Greg Abbott scratched all travel restrictions into Texas, basically saying Texas is now open. However, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo extended the “Stay Home, Work Safe” until June 10th.

The Governor is opening Texas and our County officials are trying to keep it close, this is very confusing. In addition, new data shows Houston is not out of the deep yet, in fact, it is the total opposite. We are projected to see more cases in the summer than during the lockdown.

A new study finds people are not following social distancing in Houston

The new data study used cellphone usage to track information to see how people are following social distancing orders.

Some locals are tired and can’t wait to get back to normal. Jackson Stevenson said “The Coronavirus curve in Houston is out of control in my opinion. People need to follow social distancing correctly in order to get back to normal. We don’t want to have a second wave of cases, that would put us back or even worse than when all this started.” Many people feel the same way as Mr. Stevenson, not following the order can set us back and the quarantine can last months.

We should follow the health officials guidelines so we can get back to normal

Not following directions of health officials will get us back to where we were in March, when all this exploded and forced us to stay home, work from home and adapt to new rules at grocery stores as well.

Nevertheless, if we follow proper social distancing, wear masks, avoid gatherings with 10 or more people, work from home, and proper hygiene, we will be able to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

City of Houston officials gave us the same guidelines on Thursday, May 21st. Stay home as much as possible, work from home, practice social distancing, and wear masks in order to stop the virus from spreading.

Let’s follow the guidelines and bring the Coronavirus Curve down (COVID-19)

Having an office cleaning Houston company to clean and disinfect your workplace is very important. DRD Cleaning Solutions provides office cleaning in Houston, The Woodlands, Katy, and beyond, allowing you to focus on your tasks and not cleaning or disinfecting. We use hospital-grade disinfectants that kill Coronavirus (COVID-19).

No doubt, if we follow the guidelines we will be able to enjoy our beautiful city. We’ll be able to visit the Truck Yard Houston and enjoy amazing food. We can also visit the 8th Wonder Brewery and enjoy delicious beer and food. The Houston Zoo recently had a drive-thru but if we are careful, we will be able to visit the zoo like before.
